Turf infields for DFW programs.
Replace skinned areas, retrofit an existing field, or build a new one. Bearcat installs turf infields engineered for North Texas weather and real youth program traffic.
The problem with a natural infield in Texas.
Spring weather shuts fields down for days. Summer heat bakes skinned areas into bricks. Traffic wears down the grass around bags and on the edges. By the time a coach gets to practice, half the work is drag, rake, and prep before a single ball is thrown.
A turf infield eliminates nearly all of that. It drains faster than natural soil, stays true under constant play, and is ready to use within hours of heavy rain. Practices happen on schedule. Games do not get cancelled. Kids get more reps.
What we install.
- Skinned-area turf retrofits. Just replace the high-wear dirt while keeping your existing outfield grass.
- Full infield turf installs. Base paths, skinned areas, and grass zones all converted to a unified turf surface.
- Mound and plate detail work. Proper clay or turf mounds, regulation distances, and reinforced plate areas.
- Custom inlays. Team logos, league marks, and field numbering sewn or cut into the turf.
How we install it.
The difference between a field that lasts a decade and one that fails in three years is in the base. Doing it right the first time is non-negotiable for us.
