From site visit to turnover, in four phases.

Scope and fixed price
A site visit or video walkthrough, then one line-item proposal. Surface, base, drainage, and every trade we hold, priced together so two bids compare on scope and not just on the total.

Preconstruction
Geotech and design input, submittals, certificates of insurance before mobilization, and performance and payment bonds on institutional work. Summer school windows fill by March.

Build
Roughly a 60-day project window from mobilization, with 4 to 6 weeks of on-site work on a full-size field: subgrade, drainage and base in lifts, then turf, inlays, and infill.

Testing and turnover
Third-party G-Max impact testing, a groomer, and maintenance training for your crew, with a 15-year product warranty behind the turf.

Are you a bonded and insured sports field contractor?
We are fully insured, HUB Certified, and BBB Accredited, and performance and payment bonds are available on institutional work. Certificates of insurance go to the owner before mobilization, and HUB documentation goes in every public-sector bid package. Send us the solicitation and we will answer its specific requirements.
How long does a baseball or sports field project take?
Plan on roughly 60 days from mobilization to first use on a full-size field conversion, with 4 to 6 weeks of on-site work inside that window. What sets the calendar is the work before mobilization: geotech, design, procurement, and board approval. Summer conversion windows fill by March, so start the conversation in the fall.
What is in a bid package from Bearcat?
HUB documentation, certificates of insurance, bonds where the scope calls for them, Section 32 92 00 spec language, drawings and submittals on request, and a line-item budget. We respond in whatever format your solicitation asks for. We do not hold a cooperative purchasing award, so we respond to sealed bids, RFPs, and written quote requests.
Is Bearcat a general contractor, or do you just install turf?
We hold the full scope on a sports facility build: concrete and epoxy floors, turf, netting, lighting, sound, electrical, security, fencing, mounds, and machines. One walkthrough, one fixed-price scope, one schedule — you're not stitching together separate bids for each trade.
What sports and facility types do you build?

Do you handle ASTM testing, G-Max compliance, and HUB certification for a bid spec?
Yes — ASTM-aligned face weights, drainage rates, and G-Max safety testing on tournament-grade installs, plus HUB Certified status and public-bid documentation (Section 32 92 00 spec language, drawings, submittals) on request.
What is the service area?
Standard service area is the full DFW metroplex with no out-of-area surcharge. Beyond DFW we build across Texas and in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico, Nebraska, and Georgia. Cages travel to Texas and Oklahoma, fields and indoor facilities go further, and each state page says where the line is.
Do you work with general contractors, architects, and developers?
Yes. We run GC-coordinated schedules and sequence with masonry, MEP, and other adjacent trades, and regularly work through GCs, architects, landscape architects, and mixed-use developers rather than only direct-to-owner.
I already have an RFP or spec — where does that go?
