Plungie Authorized Installer
Precast plunge pools for DFW.
Bearcat is a Plungie Authorized Installer across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Plungie pools are precast concrete, American-made in Alvarado, Texas (50 minutes from Aledo), and craned into your yard fully complete. Days, not months. Paired with Bearcat turf surround, the lowest-water full backyard configuration available in DFW today.
Where to start.
Most pool buyers start with two questions: which model, and what does the total install cost. Bearcat publishes both. Pick the resource below that matches where you are in the decision.

Pool questions.
Why a Plungie instead of a custom-built gunite pool? +
Three reasons. Speed: a Plungie is a 3-4 week project from contract to swim vs. 12-16 weeks for gunite. Cost: $45K-$85K installed vs. $75K-$150K+ for an equivalent custom pool. Quality: 10-year manufacturer warranty on a monolithic precast shell, vs. a typical 5-year custom-builder warranty. For the full comparison, see our cost-comparison guide.
Where is Plungie actually made? +
Every Plungie pool sold in the United States is precast in Alvarado, Texas, about 50 minutes south of Aledo and 30 minutes from downtown Fort Worth. Buying a Plungie is genuinely buying local in DFW.
Can the pool integrate with a Bearcat turf surround? +
Yes, and this is one of the main reasons people pair Bearcat with Plungie. The Plungie ferrule add-on enables Bearcat turf to attach directly to the pool shell for a flush, seamless edge that gunite pools structurally cannot deliver. The full pool + turf surround + decking is one coordinated project, one contract, one crew, one warranty.
What about other pool types? +
Bearcat focuses exclusively on Plungie at this time. We are not a fiberglass installer, not a gunite builder, and not a vinyl-liner contractor. The Plungie product fits the DFW market, fast install, transparent pricing, water-conservation friendly, local manufacturing. If a different pool type is what you need, we are happy to refer you to a builder who does that well.
