Putting Green Pro

What it is.

Putting Green Pro is a different animal from any other turf in our lineup. Half-inch pile, nylon (not polyethylene) fiber, ultra-dense stitch rate. The goal is a true roll at 9-11 on the Stimpmeter — tour-quality speed in your backyard.

Nylon is what makes a green putt like a green. It holds the ball up, resists matting under the constant pressure of putted balls and feet, and gives the surface the firmness you need for chip-shot acceptance. Polyethylene fiber on a putting green collapses inside two seasons.

Sand-only infill, kiln-dried so it flows uniformly across the surface. We brush the sand to spec at install, then top-dress every 1-2 years to keep speed consistent. No rubber, no zeolite, nothing that changes how the ball rolls.

Maintenance.

Brush weekly in the direction of grain to keep fibers standing. Top-dress sand every 12-18 months. Blow off leaves and debris — never use a power broom on a green (it damages the dense nylon stitch).

Price & install timing.

$15-20/sqft installed. Final number depends on prep depth, drainage work, and square footage. Install range is typically 4-6 weeks from contract signing — sometimes faster in the off-season, sometimes longer in spring when everyone wants their backyard ready before Memorial Day.
