What it is.
Sport Field Pro is what we lay on baseball and softball outfields and multi-use practice spaces. Longer 2.5-inch pile holds more infill, gives the right ball bounce and footing, and lets cleats grip without tearing the fiber out of the backing.
Fibrillated slit-film fiber is the workhorse of sports turf. The blades are slit so they fray slightly under wear, which actually improves cushioning and ball-roll consistency over time. This is the same fiber family used on collegiate and professional practice fields.
Layered sand + SBR rubber infill is non-negotiable for sport. Sand stabilizes the carpet and protects the fiber base from UV. Rubber on top delivers the energy return cleats need and softens deceleration. Skip the rubber and you get a hard, fast surface that chews up legs over a season.

- Fibrillated fiber — the standard for cleated play
- Sand + SBR rubber for shock absorption and ball-roll
- Woven backing handles repeated cleat torque
Best for.
- Baseball outfields
- Softball outfields
- Multi-sport practice fields
- Backyard training spaces
Maintenance.
Power-groom monthly during active season to redistribute infill and stand the fibers up. Top-dress rubber annually in high-wear lanes (mound, batter's box approach, base paths). Magnetic sweep after any metal-cleat use.
Price & install timing.
$7-9/sqft installed. Final number depends on prep depth, drainage work, and square footage. Install range is typically 4-6 weeks from contract signing — sometimes faster in the off-season, sometimes longer in spring when everyone wants their backyard ready before Memorial Day.
Where it works.
We install Sport Field Pro across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Most jobs come from Aledo, Fort Worth, Southlake, and the Parker / Tarrant / Denton county corridor — see the full service-area list.
