We build batting cages anywhere. Here is what the trip costs.
Everyone says they install nationwide. Nobody tells you the travel number until you have filled out a form. Ours is a flat fee by distance from Aledo, Texas, added to the same day-rate labor we charge at home. Pick your state in the configurator and the fee is in your range.
The math, in three lines.
1. Labor
$1,800 per crew-day
- Up to 40 ft: 2 days
- 41 to 60 ft: 3 days
- 65 ft and up: 4 days
- Concrete-set HD frame: +1 day
2. Travel
One flat fee
By distance band from Aledo. Covers travel days, lodging, per diem for a two-person crew, and the trailer. Not a per-diem bill, not a surprise.
3. Equipment
Kit at list price
The Cimarron kit ships direct to your site ahead of the crew, at Cimarron’s advertised price plus freight.
Labor, travel, and equipment carry our standard overhead and warranty multiplier, the same one the configurator uses. Turf, mounds, lighting, and machines are priced on top.

How a travel job runs.
- 1Price it in the configurator with your state. Send it. We call within one business day and walk the site by video.
- 2Half down covers the kit and the trip. The kit ships from Cimarron to your site.
- 3Crew arrives with tools and anchors, buys concrete and aggregate locally, builds in the tier days, hangs and tensions the net, and walks you through it.
- 4Balance at completion. One-year Bearcat install warranty, Cimarron warranty on the equipment.
School and facility jobs: we respond to bids and quote requests in every state listed, and we bring our HUB certification to Texas public work.
Questions people ask before we travel.
Does Bearcat install batting cages outside Texas?
Yes. We build cages across Texas and Oklahoma on a regular basis, and we travel further for two or more cages, a cage with a turf hitting zone, or any school or facility job. Travel is one flat mobilization fee by distance band from Aledo, shown on this page and in the configurator, not a per-diem bill.
How much does it cost to have Bearcat travel to build a cage?
Labor is $1,800 per crew-day, two to four days depending on cage length, plus one day for a concrete-set frame. On top of that is a flat mobilization fee: $900 for Texas and Oklahoma outside DFW, $2,400 for 5 to 10 hours out, $3,900 for 10 to 16 hours out. Beyond that we quote the trip. The configurator adds the right fee when you pick your state.
Why is there a minimum outside DFW?
A single backyard cage is a two-day build. Two travel days and a hotel on top of it roughly doubles the labor, and that is a bad deal for the customer. Two cages, or a cage plus turf, spreads the trip across enough work that the price makes sense. Under the minimum, buy the kit, book a layout check with the crew, and build it yourself or with a local contractor.
Does the equipment travel with the crew?
No. The kit ships direct from Cimarron to your site ahead of the crew, at the published freight rate. The crew brings tools, anchors, and concrete supplies and buys aggregate locally. Turf ships from the mill to the site.
Can you build a cage in Florida or on the coasts?
Band 4 states are quoted per trip and carry a two-cage minimum. We fly the crew and rent locally, so the number depends on the week and the site. Ask, and we will either price the trip or point you to the kit plus layout check.
What is the deposit and payment schedule for a travel job?
Half at booking, which covers the kit and the mobilization, and the balance at completion. The kit ships when the deposit clears so it is on site before the crew arrives.
Who covers warranty on an out-of-state build?
Same as at home. Cimarron warranties the net and frame, and Bearcat carries a one-year install warranty on anything our crew builds. A warranty visit outside DFW is handled by video first and a return trip if it needs one.
States we drive to for cage work: Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky. Everything else in the continental US is Band 4, quoted per trip.
