Bearcat Turf Services
Things we also do
Pavers, masonry, retaining walls, pergolas, shade sails, landscape lighting, in-ground trampolines, and patio extensions. We integrate these into Bearcat Turf installs across DFW so the whole backyard looks planned, not patched.
Most backyards we touch need more than turf. A typical Bearcat install sits inside a larger picture — pavers around the patio, a pergola for shade, a retaining wall to handle the grade, lighting for the after-dark hours, maybe a trampoline pit cut into the design. We do these things alongside the turf so the whole yard reads as one project, not three contractors stitched together.
The list below is not a separate business. We do not market these services standalone. They are integrations — built into a turf install or a sport-court build — so the design, the grade, and the drainage all line up.
Pavers, hardscape, and stonework
- Concrete pavers and natural stone pavers — tied into the turf edges, patio extensions, and pool decks so the materials line up at the seam.
- Masonry work — columns, stone veneer, fire features, stack-stone walls integrated with the turf and paver layout.
- Retaining walls — engineered to the grade, with proper drainage behind the wall before the turf goes in. Wrong wall = failed turf within two years.
- Patio extensions — expanding an existing patio or pool deck so the turf install has a clean line to meet.
Shade and structure
- Pergolas — custom-designed to match the turf footprint, the patio, and the pool. Cedar, painted steel, or aluminum depending on the maintenance you want.
- Shade sails — tensioned canopies for the kid’s play zone, the dog yard, or a courtyard install where a pergola is too much.
Lighting and details
- Landscape and path lighting — low-voltage, integrated into the turf and paver layout so cables are buried before the install goes in (much harder to retrofit).
- Rocks and decorative aggregate — river rock, cobble, decomposed granite, mulch beds — whatever transition material the design needs between turf and natural ground.
Specialty
- In-ground trampolines — cut into the turf grade so the trampoline mat sits flush with the surface. Safer for kids, looks like part of the yard, and we engineer the drainage and retaining around the pit.
How to think about scope
If you’re booking a turf install and want any of these added, just bring it up at the walkthrough. We will quote the whole scope — turf, hardscape, structures, lighting — in one fixed-price proposal so the trades are coordinated and the bill is one number.
If you only want pavers without turf, or only a pergola, or only retaining walls — we are probably not the right shop. We are turf installers who know how to integrate the other stuff. There are general hardscape contractors in DFW who do pavers and walls all day every day; you will get a better price and a better crew from one of them for standalone work.
